Hi my name is Mike I joined the merchant navy in 1961 as a cabin boy sailing out of my home port of falmouth on lots of BP tankers together with others. My best ship was the Royston Grange spent 3 years aboard her from 1968 untill 1971. I left her to work on the Cumbria and then Mabel Warwick. I left the MN in 1972 But the Royston Grange is often in my thoughts and indeed my friends who died aboard I had a very lucky escape. I write this now as its nearly 40 years since the accident
