Camelot
Not so much Royal Navy but British Army. The transport CAMELOT is seen at Southampton during 1969.

After many years, I have just found a reference to this ship. At 7795 tons, she was launched in 1946 as the EMPIRE ATHELSTAN. Ben Line bought her and renamed her BENALBANACH in 1947. Sold to the Ministry of Transport in 1966, she became the CAMELOT.
The photo shows her as BENALBANACH in 1962. Last edited by Bob S : 6th November 2004 at 17:18. |
