Dutch Preserved ships

Deserve a tribute as well.
I propose to dedicate this thread to other vessels than the famous Rotterdam

Coming to my mind :

M.S. Hydrograaf
http://www.dutchfleet.net/viewtopic.php?p=8118&
http://www.hollandsglorie.nl/zeilen/...tt_products=19

Was a steamship, regretfully motorized now

S.T Furie : a 1916 Steam Tug
http://www.furie.nl/index.php?pageid=13

CHRISTIAAN BRUNINGS
ADELAAR
DOCKYARD V
FINLAND
PIETER BOELE
NOORDZEE...........
most visible on http://www.stoomvaart.nl/site_eng.htm

There are certainly many others. Would other members more familiar with Netherlands Step up?

Vchiu,
You find some of these vessels already in the Gallery or the Main page.
Just go to the search button in both places.

You are right

I did not find the Hydrograaf, however.
I am looking for some good pictures of her as she is one I like very much

I would be even very pleased to get her drawings...

I just posted the "Gebr Bever" for you.
Time permitting I will post the Pieter Boele this week end.
You can find few other Dutch preserved vessels in same thread.

You can see a lot of those vessels when you visit Dordrecht 19th-21st May as they hold the two yearly event of : "Dordt in stoom" (Dordt in Steam).

Jan

Elfin

Seems this one is an ex RN ship manned by Dutch enthusiasts
Pictured it in Dort in Stoom 2002

I have been told there still is a triple expansion machine inside

rumour has it that a Dutch group are interested in purchasing the former steam pilot vessel Alwyn Vintcent for preservation. Anyone concerned here please contact me.

Question Dutch preserved ships

Wasn't or isn't the old coaster "Gasselte" preserved somewhere?

Browsing the web, I found 2 more interesting preservation processes :

http://www.msbernisse.nl/index-en.html
An ex Dutch Mine sweeper beutifully restored and in working operation

http://www.zeesleepbootelbe.nl/
An impressive Deep SeaTug of 1959. maybe the largest ever preserved. Very nice state of repair.

and another nice tug with very classic lines :
