hi
This picture taken in the Kiel canal around 1973 shows the former USS Ringgold DD500 , She was transferred to West Germany in 1959 as Z2 (D171) later she went to the Greek Navy, and scrapped in 93 . This Destroyer earned 10 battle stars under the USN. i found a good write up on the www.just by punching in USS Ringold Regards Ronnie R

Not sure if this is the right place to post this,but here goes.Sometime ago somebody posted a website which led to a web cam alongside the Kiel canal,it appeared to be from somebodys house,as you could see the front garden,and the road running by.My "Bookmarks" have for some reason dissapeared,and I can no longer find the site.Any help would be appreciated.

Nice try Ian,but its not the one.It has a flag pole on the left hand side of the garden. Ihave even watched the guy mowing his lawn
