Bulimba
She was the second of 5 built 1959-1961 at Harland and Wolff/s Glasgow yard for BI.Sisters were BANKURA,BAMORA,BOMBALA,BARPETA not neccesarily in that order.
I drew this at school invoking comment-not particularly favourable I/m afraid!Art class was for art,not drawings of ships! |

Excellent! Nice to see her.Remember berthing next to her in London when I was on CITY OF PORT ELIZABETH on a trip to Hamburg but did not get any photos of her (BULIMBA that is).

According to Laxon & Perry's leet definitive fleet history, BULIMBA was actually the first of the class to be completed (26.03.1959) followed in order by BANKURA, BARPETA, BAMORA and BOMBALA Regards Tom |
