Greetings from the Sparks

Whist not a merchant chap, I served in the USN as Ch. Radioman. Was reading posts of funny sea stories (aren't they all?); we all have a few, eh? Used to marvel at the big tankers, and almost signed on with SS Satsumakore in Veracruz, MX, but the blue-eyed blonde with me, didn't wanna get left ashore. All things considered, the ship would have been a better option. (smaller bunkers, but oh well). I come from a family of sailors, from WW-II through Vietnam. [1 uncle was alongside HMS Prince of Wales, when she carried Sir Wnston to meet FDR /USS McDougal DD-358] Fair Winds & Following Seas, shipmates. Pass the Pusser's please
