The young F1 driver, Jules Bianchi, who suffered severe head injuries at last year's Japanese GP died on Saturday having never come out of the coma he was in.

A sad loss to the sport I have loved since I was a small boy but more importantly a terrible loss to his family.

Jules was part of the Ferrari Young Drivers Programme and was earmarked for a drive for that team. As a huge Ferrari fan (the F in Frangio) it is a real shame we never got to see him in the red cars. His promise was shown at last year's Monaco GP where he scored the first points the Marusia team had ever achieved.

RIP Jules
