I just visited this lovely old ship in Belfast. So much damage done but she's still there and being repaired. Naturally, I am fascinated by the Titanic but also by the Carpathia and the Olympic. I lived in South Shields, where there was a Marine and Technical College. My friend was studying for his ticket. Hated signals! I expect he became a captain. We lost touch. He worked for Strick Line. Enough of my burblings....

Welcome aboard from East Yorkshire, Linda.
I did my electronics ticket at Martec in the early 70s.
Mad sparkies abroad in South Shields. Ruperts, Chelsea Cat and a curry. What more could you ask for.
Enjoy the site, it's a great place to explore.

Welcome to the site. There has not been much input to date about Strick Line but maybe you will have stirred up a few memories - I hope so - it was a very fine company in it's day.

I did my first trip with Stricks, on the coast on the Muristan, I think. I can't remember. I was about 15 months old.
