May I ask the same question as Matthew ?
Are there any ex crew members of MTB's as members of SN who served in the Freetown area during WW2 ?
Following the sinking of VIKING STAR by U 130 on 25th August 1942 we survivors sailed a lifeboat for five days to the coast of Sierra Leone.
A few days in the jungle and to Sherbro..Here a radio message to Freetown brought an MTB to us and we were taken to Freetown on it..
So is there a member or two who served in Freetown at that time ?
