I have just found your wonderful Forum and hope that I can contribute to it.
My name is David Reid. I'm 54 and have been at sea now for 37 years. I joined BP as a Deck Cadet in 1970 my first ship being British Destiny berthed in IOG. Leaving in 1978 as Third Officer I joined George Gibson & Co. Ltd where I still am today. Gaining promotion to Master in 1988 I am now the Senior Master in the company. The company does not now trade under this name but instead EMS Ship Management (UK) Ltd, our owners being Eitzen. If I can help anyone in any way please feel free to contact me.

Welcome David

You will very soon find all those people you remember from the past on here!

I was 3/0 with BP Clyde Tankers in the late 50s.
