Blue Funnel and ED design post war. Obviously, there were differences in the designs of certain classes of ships. However, the Blue Flue post war A class, ran into 25 plus ships. EDs were in dribs and drabs. The company had the same small group of naval Architects? ED ships were more shallow drafted ; many for Creek Work? What were the fundamental differences in design/ the aspects in Common? I welcome the answers.

It will be interesting to see how this thread develops. I was always under the impression that until the formation of Ocean Fleets, both companies had independent technical depts. H Flett was the BF Naval Architect, and was succeeded by Marshall Meek.
