Hello from Longdistancevoyager

13th November 2007, 11:28
I came ashore in 1974, after starting in 1966, straight from Hull Trinity House Navigation School, I was apprentice to London & Overseas Freighters from 1966/1969 then deck officer with them until I came ashore, The site is wonderful, I have been able to see some wonderful pictures of vessels I never thought I would see again, memories just came flooding back
I was particularly interested in modern navigation, as I was brought up with a sextant and one old radar!! hope to chat about things in the future.

A warm welcome to SN from the Isle of Anglesey.
There is every chance that you will meet old shipmates on this site so, have a good look round and join in the banter as much as possible.
Beware, it is addictive! (Thumb)
