Hello everyone,
My name is Norman Angell and I am a retired University Stores Manager who has served 21 years in the British Army, much of it in the Territorial Army. I hold a BA ((Hons) degree in History and my main interests in the subject is regional/local, maritime and military. My late father Arthur Edward Angell was Ship's Cook on the SS Cape Corso and lost his life when the vessel was sunk on Russian convoy PQ15 on May 2nd 1942. I have researched Dad's MN career extensively and have traced every ship he sailed in and what became of them, including photo's of most of them, since he joined the MN in 1921. In particular I have done a lot of research on his last voyage aboard the Cape Corso. I will close by saying "I am glad to be aboard".
