I am researching my Pitt family history who were employed by the Port Line and Tyser line.
My Father, William Richard Donovan Pitt, who died about 50 years ago was to the best of my knowledge was sent off to sea as a midshipman, became a navigation officer, was torpedoed twice in the first world war and did some mine sweeping after the war. I have 2 photos of his ships and a couple of him in uniform.
My Grandfather Edward Pitt retired as a cargo superintendant for Port line and I have a picture of him as captain of the 1908 Albert dock cricket team but very little else.

That's my input.

Welcome aboard from northern England, Richard.
We have some very knowledgeable crew members who may be able to help.
Meanwhile find your way around the ship and enjoy the voyage.

Welcome from Lancashire.

I hope you will enjoy the site.

Let us know if you have the names of your father's ships and we may be able to dig out some information about them for you.

Regards,

Brian
