Hello to everyone out there.
Thanks for the welcome. I first went to sea in 1950 on the MV."Sangara"
of Elder Dempster Lines and stayed with that line for 15 years. Both on ships and ashore in West Africa.
I retired from seagoing in 1999 having spent many years with Houlder Bros.
Serving on their Ore Carriers, LPG Tankers and finally in their Offshore Division.
My last vessel being the semi-submersible "Uncle John"

Welcome to the crew.
I'm sure you'll find some ex-shipmates aboard once you find your way around the ship.
Enjoy the trip.

Hello and welcome.

I have some pics of the Uncle John working the Brent Field in the 70s. I will dig them out for the gallery. She drydocked at Smiths at Shields around then. One pontoon in each dock. Interesting sight.
