Welcome aboard, Tekina.
Plenty of us Bankline lads in the crew who will probably recognise the name.
Not me though unfortunately.
Find your way around the ship and enjoy the trip.

Tekina...

I never sailed with Captain Charlie Howe but he was a Master of considerable reputation. Many years later I met him in New Orleans as he neared the end of his career in Andrew Weir's and I found him to be quite unlike his fearsome reputation! Age melloweth the wine!

Kind regards. What are you doing in Brazil?

Alistair Macnab,

Sailed with Charlie Howe on the Fleetbank in 1960, copra run, went head first down the fwd deep tank in the islands, didn't see much of him after that, enough said.

Hello, Sailed home from Panama with Charlie Howe on the Fleetbank in 1963. He and a passenger raised the US fleet into action off Cuba! Decided to have a pyrotechnic display! Cheers, Howard

Hi Lefty. I was the Senior apprentice on board. What happened as my memory doesn't serve me well.
