Another newbie

Hi all
Another newbie joins the fold.
Born and bred Lytham, Lancashire, family from Cumberland, as was!
Radio College at Brooks Bar Manchester.
Only did 5 and a half years at sea as 'Sparkes' - all direct employ with Blue Flue/Glen - 1960-65. Just about half of that in two trips on 'Ulysses/GDWV' on the long jag from NYC all the way round. Great time, no savings, no airconditioning, etc ... sound familiar?
I've always kept a close watch on things maritime despite now living in so-called "middle England" ie Northamptonshire and am an active RNLI supporter here.
Look forward to getting stuck in shortly, expecially things Blue Flue!!

Welcome aboard, Mike.
As Tonga points out there are quite a few of us in the crew.
Although I'm not sure about a "Host" unless they're heavenly.
Way over the normal vessel's radio department manning levels anyway.
Luckily we have a large fully equipped radio room to rattle around in. [=P]
Find your way around the ship, join in and enjoy the trip.

Old Ginger, from Michigan, a warm welcome to Ships Nostalgia.
Good to have you onboard.
With your background it won't take you anytime to feel comfortable here.
