Well its been a real joy to find this site and to read some of the great postings.
My name - Mal (Paddy) Walsh, Went to sea in BF in 1960, deck cadet, moved on in the 70's to the North Sea and O.I.L. aboard their 1st ship, then to Theriot Offshore and later to Star Offshore Tugs ( United Towing). Made the move to Canada and Dome Petroleum ( Canmar ) in 77 and ashore into the management side of the job. lucky to have sailed in such halcyon days, with such great seamen and hope to link up with a few through this site.

Welcome aboard, Paddy.
Plenty of BF lads on the crew from your era and from the North Sea in the 70s.
Now you've signed on find your way around the ship and join in.
Enjoy the trip but beware, it's addictive.

Paddy, from Michigan, a warm welcome to Ships Nostalgia.
Good to have you onboard.
With your background, you'll almost certainly find much of interest here and perhaps run into some old shipmates.
