Well I have registered on this great site and hopefully I can be of some use and I can find out a bit more also.

I am looking for any info available about the SS Olivegrove which was the first merchant vessel sunk by a U boat at the start of WWII. There was some contraversy regading it as a previous ship had been sunk with all crew aboard before the war had begun but the U boat acptain surfaced and told the Olivegrove Captain to get all his crew off before he torpedoed the ship.

If anyone can help me or guide me in the right direction would be most grateful. All the best.
