My interests are the maritime history of a small well-defined area in and around the port of Plymouth UK. From this has grown a project to transcribe the merchant shipping registers of the Port of Plymouth and add as much as I can concerning the history of these vessels. I have published the registers from 1814 (the earliest surviving registers) to 1876 in CD form. You can gain some idea of the CD from my web-site I'm working on the post 1876 registers and have transcribed these to 1894 and indexed the vessels registered at Plymouth to 1916. If members have queries on Plymouth built or registered vessels I will be ready to help.
