Mike....
Your Shaw Savill days were no doubt hastened and ended by the unfortunate decisions of management in London and the creation of the Bank and Savill Line which helped to bring down two famous shipping companies, Savills and Weir's!
We cannot go back to the past but let's learn something from it. Ships Nostalgia is where its at!
Welcome!

As a very old member of Shaw Savill, welcome to this wonderful maritime site, I served as an Elect. Engr. from 1950 to 1955 on Dominion Monarch, Wairangi, Taranaki, Gothic ( including the Royal Commonwealth Tour ), Waiwera & Suevic.

I then joined the British Phosphate Commission, serving on Triaster & Triadic, eventually settling ashore in Melbourne Australia in 1959, still here.

May you always steer a straight course, fair winds, and fair sailing.

Regards, Terence Williams.R538301.(A)
