I am trying to research my father Peter Fennelow merchant navy service. Given his unusual surname Iím hoping that it will jog someoneís memory. I know he joined in 1949/50 and trained at TS Vindicatrix as a seaman.
I would love to hear from anyone who might have known him and can tell me anything about his time in the Merchant Navy.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

Paul

Hello and welcome to SN,
Is this your dad?

http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C8353381

This would be his "Seamans Pouch"

You should be able to find details of your fathers MN service, ships sailed on, together with dates and places of engagement and discharge, by looking at his form CRS10.
These records are stored alphabetically in blocks of 60 names. To view these documents. For a whole number of various reasons, you would be best served by visiting the UK National Archive yourself.
If anywhere it should be stored here.
