I am a new member from "down-under" Thrilled to have found this site.
I am interested in the older ocean liners, especially the German lines.
I have undertaken three Container Ship voyages, and hope to do some more. Also collect postcards / memorabilia of sinking of the "Lusitania" and the battle betwee n HMAS Sydney and the German destroyer Emden.

Are you the mate?
That is what the wharfies in Australia asked me when I came on deck.
Yes, I am the second mate.
Fock You Mate.
But I have very good memories of Australia.
Hope to go back again.
This photo I recieved last year, from a girlfriend I had more than 30 years ago in Port Lincoln.
This is a good example of the good things of internet.
I was second mate on the "Voorne" and Rosie was a schoolteacher, who invited the whole school to visit the Voorne.
All the best

G'day Seajan. I am also a new member - welcome to the site.I too collect postcards-I have a few "swaps".By the way I have painted a picture of the Lusitania after being torpedoed.I can't claim "originality" however as I copied it from another artist! All the best for now.Peter Norman.
