Looking for a photo of the above-1953+ vintage. Registered Glasgow, Raeburn & Versi ( I think ). Scrapped in China 1960's ?

That is "Scottish Monarch" but I sailed on her in 1964 so it may be the earlier one he was looking for..
She was owned by Harrisons (Clyde) and the is a photo of her in the galley.
The other one was owned by Raeburn & Virell I think.

When I was looking into Tankers Ltd ships ( so to speak ) I checked out all other "Scottish" prefixes. I still have a number of "wants" for pictures.
Scottish Monarch (1) was sunk in 1941, I seem to remember. Scottish Monarch (2) went on to become Wishford, Demetrius and then "Ho Ping 55" and "Hoping Wu Shi Wu"; There was a new "Hoping Wu Shi Wu" in 1960 ( or rather she was originally Ocean Athlete). So I assume Scottish Monarch (2) ended up scrapped around that date. Scottish Monarch (2) was built 1943.
Scottish Monarch (3) was built 1959. I believe she was, as you say, a Raeburn vessel. There may have been another in between, but I have no details of one.

Whilst on the subject, there were much earlier vessels, the 1904 Scottish Monarch, 1905 purchased from Monarch SS Co Glasgow and renamed Ceram, scrapped in 1926; and Scottish Monarch, 5,043grt, lost 29th June 1915, 40 miles S from Ballycottin Light; captured by submarine, sunk by gunfire, 15 lives lost. I believe there was an even earlier sailing vessel by that name.

Fine set of photographs Charlie.
It's always good to place these links on Forum,
as Google will not find them always.

Nice photo. Does anyone know how I could get a copy of GA plan and lines plan as an Australian Shipowner I met last month in Athens is wanting to have a scale model made of it. Harrisons Glasgow closed their office in recent times and I understand that all of their archive drawings ended up in a skip.

Is this your ship?

Thats the vessel I sailed on in 1964 as 1st mate. Running between Aussie, Japan, New Zealand and that favourite?? Narau.
