Hi there,
As David Henderson I was a 'bit wobbly' signing-in, probably due to my dotage, (born 1929).
No personal history of navy days,, interest due to sons John (ex Marconi R/O) and Michael (ex BP deckhand).
Have enjoyed surfing SN during past week.
Keep up the good work.
Fred Beckett.

No, I was an R/O with BP between 1974 and 1986. Although we did go to a couple of good piss-ups on the Fort Grange when I was on the British Respect when it was stood down for a few months alongside in Finnart. We'd got to know quiet a few of the nurses at a nearby hospital and used to have parties most weekends. When the Fort Grange invited us to a party we supplied the women and they supplied the booze (*))
