Welcome Kevin. Sure you will enjoy this great site
My only connection with banana boats was when I answered an advert and purchased a spin drier. The cash was required for the seller to take his Daughter on a trip
Best wishes
Bert.

Hello, Kevin,
May '62 - Sep '64. Matina, Tilapa, Chicanoa, Chirripo.
Seemed a good outfit: food & accomodation VG and, as an engineer on steam turbine ships, duties not too onerous (Thumb)

Welcome aboard from Melbourne Australia, great crew, you will enjoy the voyage.

I was born & raised in Swansea, Wales, and as a young lad used to see the white banana boats entering & leaving the Port.
