Just logged in and would like to hear from anyone who sailed in the Canadian Pacific company (CP Ships) from 1967 up to its demise in 1986.
I was Cadet to Chief Officer with them, best company in the world I reckon. Went on to be Port Captain with Seachem, then joined Stolt Tankers in their coastal fleet in 91 up to my retirement in 2010.

Greetings John and a warm welcome to SN.
Blue funnel lads reckon theirs was the best company, we all have our favorites, mine being Cunard. Bon voyage.

Hi John.

Am sure we sailed together on one of the product tankers but not sure which one would be either GA Walker ['75], Fort Edmonton ['79], WA Mather ['82 & '88] or Fort Coulonge '76 & '77].

Your name certainly rings a bell and I have a vague memory of you but I don't think we sailed together on any of those ships you listed. I was on the G.A. Walker but it would have been early 80's when she was on the Mexican coast. Don't get on this site too often but are on the "Merchant Navy, Old Friends Plus site regularly. If you go on there and search their "crew lists" forum, you will find all the ships, with dates, I sailed on in C.P.
