For anyone not aware, about half a dozen portholes from the original WWII Enterprise (CV5 if memory serves) were salvaged and incorporated into this Enterprise. Wouldn't it be nice if they were saved and re-incorporated into a future Enterprise.

Brilliant pictures.
Now I am feeling really ancient.
I can remember passing her in the same area back in the sixties (1964?) as we approached Norfolk Virginia on the Northumberland. She was just built and had not yet commissioned and was anchored off. She was HUGE!
