Sailed on the Dunedin in 83 as assistant cook. Was on board in New Zealand when young AB fell from crane, understand he was in coma for a few years before passing away. Also remember an AB kept a lady on board whilst we visited a number of ports in Auz. Cook was a chap called Paul (lived in Reading) who’s dad lived in Australia . Was my last trip to sea before moving onto oil rigs. Originally employed by Houlder Brothers so not sure how I ended up on this ship, however it was one of the best crews I sailed with.
