Hi everyone
First started at sea in 1972 with L+H as deck cadet. Uncert 3/O 1974 became part of BSSM in 1975 Vesty Group left deep sea on 1977.
Vessels Raeburn, Roland Ronsard, Rockhampton Star, Andalucia Star.
Joined Royal Air Force Marine Craft Branch 1978/1986. Based RAF ALNESS served on board HMAFV SEAL HMAFV SEAGULL HMAFV HURRICANE. Became defence cut in 1986. Joined NOMIS as 2/O working ERRV/Standby vessels North Sea. Left NOMIS 1988 and did coasting round UK Near Continental until 1990. Joined my present company when it was called Seaboard Offshore which was t5hen taken over by Hornbeck which was then taken over by Tidewater which was then sold to BUE North sea which then became BUE VIKING which then finally became Viking Offshore Services. Have been on board my present vessel BUE IONA since may 97 sailing as Chief Officer although at one point because they needed a second driver I did sail as Mate/Master. If your confused so am I!!!!!!! (K)

Welcome Diggo,

I am a relative newcomer to the “Seagoing Site” also, plenty of “swing that lamp” and green sea’s coming over the bow, but I have been logging in at least 10 times a day SHINC – gets right under your skin, so enjoy as much as I do.
