Ex RFA Fort George

Fort George recently left Liverpool under tow of the Panamanian tug Christos 23 bound for Alaiga for breaking.
Today she shows on AIS as being about 40 miles south of Penzance heading 077 at 3 knots.
This course will eventually take her to Plymouth.
Has the breaking been cancelled or is the tug merely lost ?

It could be doing a "Sail By", hopefully the Tugmaster is not Italian otherwise it could end up as a permanent fixture off Plymouth.

Falmouth Coastguard says she has benn told to "await orders" off Falmouth.
Make of that what you will.

but looking at the weather map for tomorrow there seems like a gale force 9-10 and 25-30 foot swells around Bay of Biscay for the next couple of days, maybe that's why she holding off of Falmouth ? Maybe someone can verify?.

She is now (211100) off S Devon heading 075.

Christos xxiii and Fort George are now
headig 212 at just under 3 knots.
It looks if their little jaunt into the Channel is over or the tug
has had it's satnav repaired.
