She Is Aground!!! So Now What?

It could be that many of you have read or heard of a US Navy vessel going aground on January 17, 2013 on Tubbataha Reef. If you haven't or you really don't know the details behind this unfortunate event this article may offer you some insight of the incident.
The vessel involved was the USS Guardian (MCM-5), which was an Avenger-class mine countermeasures vessel. She was a fairly 'new' addition to the US Navy fleet....being launched on June 20th 1987.

good day cshortridge73.sm.today.00:52.re:shes aground so what,pdf.i have just read your link.most interesting as usual.a costly cockup.but you have to admire the usa navy recovery method.who would have thought of cutting up a ship to recovere it a decade or two ago.as for cost.they must have profited from what they learnt on the recovery,i hope the officers were not banished to a sea goieng barge,great post as usual.have a good day.regards ben27
