I felt stunned to hear today of the death of the GREAT Lou Reed.

I'd not seen him in concert for 5 or 6 years, since before I moved to France. But... he was fantastic on stage, and a genius on record.

R.I.P.

He had apparently been walking on the wild side for far too many years. Drink, drugs and a consequent liver transplant - and all the coloured girls go ...........

I walked to Botlek and found myself in the stereo systems sales area, great studio quality gear on sale stuff you don`t see anymore Revox,Teac,Wharfedale. They had some demo going on and played Walk on the Wild Side, though that gear in the soundproofed room what a sound! Bought an Omega watch for 25 thought I`d finally made it.

Sad indeed......his own story is that Perfect Day was about him sitting in the park with a large bag of 'stuff'..........not quite what the BBC knew when they chose it for Children in Need......nice music though.
