Roger Lloyd-Pack (Trigger)

Roger Lloyd-Pack, famous for playing "Trigger" in "Only Fools and Horses" died on Wednesday from pancreatic cancer. He was 69.

He will be remembered forhis part as the dead pan, slow thinking roadsweeper. His lines were very few, but each one a gem.

He also played the part of farmer Owen Newitt in "The Vicar of Dibley".

Other than these roles, he was a renowned Shakesperean actor.

He will be sadly missed from our screens, other than repeats.

His broom sweeps no more, just leaning gently against a wall.

RIP Roger, and thanks for the laughter you gave me and countless others.

R.I.P Roger - Lloyd Pack. Enjoyed your roll as "Trigger" in O F & H. One of the few men who got me in stitches.

Look out for him next time Topol's "Fiddler on the Roof" is shown on tv.

"Dave" will miss him as will all of us who appreciated a fine actor. I still enjoy a laugh at the memory of the scene with "Del Boy" falling through the bar.

Perhaps a wreath from DAVE would be appropriate? R.I.P Roger

He also had a small role in the Harry Potter films. One scene I remember well is when Del Boy got Rodney & Grandad to paint a local Chinese take away. Trigger supplied the paint.

Never knew he played Owen in Vicar of Dibley. Hope he gets similar great parts on that big stage in the sky. RIP

RIP Roger alias Trigger and Owen plus numerous other acting roles. Will be sadly missed, at least we will have the repeats to watch and make us laugh for years to come.

Mike: What name have they decided on?

Trigger: If it's a girl they're calling her Sigourney after an actress, and if it's a boy they're naming him Rodney after Dave.

classic line, brilliantly delivered by a great actor
