A rare find indeed - a bell purported to be from Clytoneus ? Is it worth it -just for nostalgia. On offer today 2nd March 2014.

That bell doesn't look like Blu Flu standard to me.

I'd want a definitive provenance before I laid out my money for it.

My thoughts exactly.

Did the hajjies respond to a bell for the call to prayer? Where was the bell placed for the purpose?

I was a "peggy" on the Clytoneus and polished the bell many times. I dont think the font used was anything like any I remember on any of the "A" class ships.

Can anyone shed any further light on this? Why would it be a fake? Why would there be any point?

Does anyone remember what it could have been used for?
