Hello all,
Stumbled on this site whilst looking for ships on which I once sailed.
I was a junior engineer 1967 -1970 aboard Cunard's vessels Caronia (last voyage) and cargo ships Saxonia, Parthia, and Samaria. I would much enjoy hearing from any old colleagues (we were young then!)
Best regards,

James Madden

On behalf of the SN Moderators, a warm welcome aboard from the Isle of Anglesey - we guarantee you will thoroughly enjoy the SN experience!
You will certainly spark many happy memories when you have a chance to explore our threads and, who knows, you may even re-establish contact with old shipmates.
Good luck! (Thumb)

Hello James, your surname was familiar but your ships rule out any acquaintance.
I have just realised that the connection with the name Madden is via Sir Charles Madden (Bart) who served as Commodore Auckland while I was serving my apprenticeship at the Devonport Dockyard. He later became the Admiral of the British fleet.
Maybe a connection from your past?
