DALLINGTON COURT

Taking on coal at Lourenco Marques during September 1946. These grubby creatures are from left to right: R Drake, Fred Kuaggs, Stan Mayes and Percy Choppen. Coaling was obviously a dirty business as can be seen and note the cloud of coal dust behind the group.

Seamen all...hard men doing a hard job..but still cheerful after it....and willing to start again next morning.
