We did OK. Ian had some flair. Vic is a fair to red headed Belfast man, a bit short and stout. Have a pic with Vic somewhere, probably Energos. Have a menu from Energos (\"One I did earlier\") when I can find it.

Hugh ;
I knew Walter Flett; last time I saw him he was having a Holiday staying at the sailors home in Aberdeen in 1972 ! He was a real tight wad ! .
Also the Lurcerna was built in Davie Shipbuilding in Quebec if I remember correctly . It was one of the two ships built there and I stood bye during construction .

Walter (Wallie) J S Flett. By his own admission he was of the sheep stealing Smith Fletts from Shetland (or Orkney) When I sailed with him in the early '80s he was running a 10 year old Ford Escort. Rumour has it that when he arrived on the Chilean coast - had to be Luminetta - he was recognised from his days as 2nd Mate. They knew him as El Loco. He was a bit strange!

Yeah, that's all well and good for starters, but what's for tea?!

" I live in retirement now and through my window comes the sound of seagulls
And sets my mind remembering
The evening stars like memories sail far beyond the distant trees
Way out across the open seas
I hear them sing .........................
And sometime (I) think in all this world,the saddest thing to be
Old Admirals who feel the wind,and never put to sea "
