Indeed DDR, closely monitored until a final decision is made regarding the method is selected for their Reactor disposal.
Sadly, with due respect (I always enjoy your posts), many ex-Soviet Union Nuclear Powered Submarines do not appear to have been cared for in the same way. Only being disposed of in a safe manner with Western nation support, both technically and financially.

I believe they are physically boarded and inspected on a daily basis. Although reporting is sketchy it seems that Swiftsure is presently been dismantled in Rosyth, this process is being used as the prototype template for the later disposal of the remaining boats. Better to get it right first time before wading in before the mechanics are understood. I would not be surprised if Devonport nuclear refit complex is utilised along with Rosyth when full disposal commences.

Dear littoralcombat!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not live in the Soviet Union, now, but I respect that time...
I do not know as the Russian submarines brought out of structure by the Navy are stored ...
I think that you do not know it too (your and our mass media not always write and tell the truth. It is another story).
Financial and technical assistance at utilization of nuclear submarines by the countries of the West long ago HISTORY...

Hello DDR, it is a fact that the US, Sweden and UK are assisting the Russians with the safe disposal of their submarines. A number of nuclear Russian Submarines were partly abandoned in the White Sea, along with dumped nuclear cores. These submarines are now been disposed of and the Cores located. it is no secret that this aspect of submarine care was not very good and needed remedy from those better qualified/experienced. I'm only glad that our Russian friends had the sense to ask for assistance.

Hello DDR, I sense in your reply that you may be a little upset by my comment. If that is the case, then be assured it was not my intention and I apologise for any offence felt by you. As related above, I always enjoy your contributions, and hope that you continue to post your very interesting pictures......from the 'other side', so to speak.
Regarding the accuracy of information (not always sourced from 'Mass Media'), well, that is an entirely different subject. The reporting of matters by many Media outlets can be inaccurate, whether they be Independent or State owned and controlled. I guess it is up to every individual to draw their own conclusions as to whether information is true or false.
With that in mind, I think we should avoid that subject as there are far more enjoyable ways to spend our free time.
Kind Regards
Nigel
