A recent examination of the US fleet has identified a significant shortfall of operational carriers and warships due to extended deployments and poor port infrastructure.
word is circulating that the mothballed carrier Kitty Hawk may be reactivated to boost the carrier programme. This news comes alongside speculation that reserve F18's are being pulled from store.

Hmmm. Is the West starting to panic ? I read in a February 2019 edition of the International Express that "MoD plan to convert ferries into warships". "Britain will buy and adapt cargo ships or ferries and convert them into warships to quickly respond to a crisis and carry out a range of operations, the Defence Secretary has announced". Nothing new there I know - Falklands e.g. But he also announced the purchase of 'off-the-shelf drones' that will be adapted and used to swarm enemy radars. Which enemy I ask ? He also spoke at the Royal United Services Institute and revealed two new ships for Littoral Strike, purchased from the 'Transformation Fund' ??? These ships could be used East of Suez (Indo/Pacific), in the Med, Atlantic or Baltic. Covering all scenarios there !!!!
