A cracking image that really shows the size of Oakleaf. I believe she was the largest RN & RFA vessel at the time.

Indeed FG, a cracking shot!
I believe Oakleaf had two 4-Cylinder 2-Stroke Main-Engines driving a rather large Controllable Pitch Propeller, which would of been nice to see. I never had the opportunity to go aboard her unfortunately.

Hi littoralcombat, Oakleaf was powered by a single 4 cylinder Burmeister and Wain super long stroke, developing 12,000 bhp (8,900 kW ) , great ship to sail on but definitely a plodder, Neil.

How long would it have taken Fearlesss to refuel in normal sea conditions (at what point did/do vessels refuel, half, quarter tanks?).
