My former Muster Station Derek.

You took a similar photo with a crew muster drill being undertaken with myself probably amongst them but not in view and as your already aware I was onboard the Queen Elizabeth 2 when you took these photos of your transtlantic crossing in July 1985.

I was on the Front Desk at the Pursers Office on Two Deck and I have no doubt that are paths would have crossed at some point during that voyage!

Regards

Sean

Thanks Sean.

I travelled with a French lady friend in a very nice 3 deck cabin on the crossings in 1985. We were lucky enough to be allocated to the Chief Engineer's table who was an excellent host, including having drinks in his cabin. I have a book about QE2 that I purchased on board with many officer and crew autographs on the fly-leaf. I will see if I can scan this as you may well see the signature of someone you knew on board.

I expect you will have seen the various ephemera items I have posted on SN from that voyage and my earlier one in 1970, which may well have originated from the Pursers Office.

Cheers, Derek

Many thanks for your reply back Derek appreciated as always.

I would be very interested in those signatures of the officers that signed your book.

Obviously I have seen your other photos taken from your transatlantic crossing's on the Queen Elizabeth 2 in July 1984.

Although I was only a young boy in 1970 my late grandfather would have probably been onboard during your transatlantic crossing on the Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1970 as he was the Restaurant Manager of the Britannia Restaurant.

Regards

Sean
