Taken at the Port of Southampton.

The Monarch of the Seas arrived at Southampton on 16 October 1991 from her builder's at Chantiers de I'Atlantique at St Nazaire, France, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line having taken delivery of her the day before on the 15 October 1991.

In April 1992 her sister the Majesty of the Seas did the same and visited the Port of Southampton.

At the time the Majesty and Monarch of the Seas were the world's largest cruise ships, the first one of the class the Sovereign of the Seas being slightly smaller in tonnage compared to her newer sisters with approximately 200 less passengers.

The Monarch of the Seas would stay in Southampton for two days before she made her positioning voyage to Miami on the 17 October 1991.

I remember seeing both ships at the time of their visits to the Port of Southampton.
