One of the @ 9,000 gross ton Grace Line ships Santa Paula, Santa Rosa etc. Possibly at Curacao. Derek

Definitely Curacao Derek and indeed it's one of the Grace Lines sisters that you have quoted. They were identical sisters so it's difficult to confirm which sister this actually is.

Thanks! Four sisters of GRT 9,135, the Santa's Elena, Lucia, Paula and Rosa. In April 1938 a direct service Curacao-New York v.v. was opened by Grace Line using these ships (via La Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Puerto Colombia, Cartagena, Cristobal, Kingston and Cap Haitien). The voyage Curacao-New York took 4 days.

Santa's Elena and Lucia were lost in WW2; after the war, Paula and Rosa sailed the New York-Curacao route until replaced in 1958.
