she would make an ideal training ship for UK merchant seafarers, plenty of accommodation and space to fit various training related equipment.

She and her sister ship Fort Austin may well get a second lease of life with the news last week that bidding for their replacements has been temporarily halted with the official explanation at least being "value for money concerns". Unofficially maybe the fact one option was that these ships could be built overseas might not have been the best message to voters ahead of an general election.
