The last work to be completed for the year is a 9 in. X 14 in. image of a small mouth black bass in pursuit of a shadfly, a scene not uncommon to many parts of North America. The background drawing is graphite, the subject is done with beeswax coloured pencils and the "broken" water has been enhanced with white acrylic paint. In this case the subject was done separately and then superimposed on the base drawing to give a more three dimensional look. A new twist.
