It is indeed, and I fancy its the Fighting Cock, but cannot make out the name.
and the two stern ends on the right are reminiscent of Shaw Saville

Gothic was in Lairds in 1951 being re fitted to become a Royal Yacht. This use was cancelled on the death of the King, however the new Queen used her for her world tour in 1953. It could well be that one of the sterns is Gothic and the other one of her sisters Corinthic, Athenic & Ceramic who were all built at Lairds.

Santos,
I used to hear tales of riotous goings on concerning the Gothic on the New Zealand coast involving police and crew in widespread violence.
Did you ever hear about this?

Pat, are you talking about the Royal tour or about subsequence voyages?

Nolan,
I'm not sure, I think it was the royal tour.
