Was trying to work out when this photograph was taken, and think it must be in the early seventies, because the old wooden pier in Jeddah was knocked down sometime after 1977

1970, about the beginning of March, taken from Makrana. By 1972 Mahout had lost the blue band.

Yes! March 1970 is about right. I was senior electrician on that trip. My log book shows us signing-on on 9 feb 1970 in London and signing-off on 18 Jul 1970 in New Orleans
