Gee. I sailed on her in 1973(I Think). Spent 3 weeks in dry dock in Lisbon then off to RAS Tanura--then to Europort and Zeebrugge and back to Qatar. Although not a bad ship 4 months with just a couple of hours ashore took its toll. Resigned when I got home.

Good shot Gary,
An excellent view of a large tanker before safety was enhanced ( and the view ruined and deck cluttered) by the addition of COW and IG

Way before then, Steve.
Some consideration was given in the early 70s to the possibility that sparkies were blowing up VLCCs due to earth return paths under main aerials running across the deck to the samson posts.
