This ship was a mystery to me for years, since Lloyd's and Marine News never reported her under the name of THANI ( or HADYAI UNION 2)
I gather her true history was obtained from observers who saw her at Singapore on various occasions.
Although I believed her to be the ex MAMAKU, (from Talbot Booth) I did't get confirmation of this until a few years ago, when I emailed a photo of her to Mike Pryce.
